Adam Bolaños Scow for PVUSD
Elect PVUSD Trustee
Improving our Schools Together!
Dear Neighbor,
I’m an environmental leader and music teacher
who loves to serve our community as a PVUSD
Board Trustee. It is a privilege to represent Area 6,
which includes parts of Watsonville, Freedom,
Amesti, Pinto Lake, and the Larkin Valley.
Last year I was unanimously appointed by the
PVUSD Board after the previous trustee went
to the Watsonville City Council.
I’ve been working hard to improve our Schools and
I’m pleased to report that we’ve made progress on
some big items:
We delivered a much needed 15 percent raise for our teachers, finally making our salaries and benefits competitive with nearby districts.
We protected and expanded music and arts programs that are very popular and important for the development of our students.
We hired new administrators who are building a positive and collaborative culture and our staff is working better together.
And yes, there's much more to do!
We must pay ALL staff better wages,
including classified workers who are
the foundation of our schools
We need to improve our
Special Education department
Finally, we must have safe schools and we will improve security and provide mentorship programs.
I’m honored to be again strongly supported by our Teachers union, the
Pajaro Valley Federation of Teachers, as well as many other local leaders.
With your support and vote, it would be an honor to keep serving our students!

About Adam
As a climate refugee from Fresno, I’m honored to reside where my grandfather worked as a bracero farmworker from Oaxaca, Mexico. As an environmental leader, I’ve helped win big campaigns to ban fracking and protect farmland in our County. As a co-founder
of the Campaign for Organic & Regenerative Agriculture, I’m now working to transition farmland near schools to go organic so our kids and staff aren’t exposed to toxic pesticides. I have served on the boards of Watsonville Wetlands Watch, Regeneración Pájaro Valley Climate Action, the Sierra Club, and other organizations as well.
As a professional violinist and teacher, it is very rewarding and exciting to help build a youth orchestra accessible to all PVUSD students 4th grade and above. We are now in our 3rd year and our students are sounding great. I also enjoy performing for our community with the Santa Cruz Symphony and playing Mariachi music with my band Mariachi Libertad.
We support Adam for PVUSD!
